Faster Trade Ordering: Five Habits of Our Quickest Customers
How our fastest trade customers order: tight sizes, spacer stamps, coating orientation and batch thinking.
Two glaziers order the same six units. One has glass in three working days, the other spends those days answering our queries. The difference is never luck — it is how the order arrives. The five habits of the fast ones:
1. Tight sizes, stated as tight sizes
Say whether your figures are tight (rebate) sizes or finished unit sizes. Every size query we send back costs a day. The measuring guide shows both conventions.
2. The spacer stamp photo
One phone photo of the old unit’s spacer stamp answers thickness, cavity, coating and original maker in a single image. Our quickest customers attach it to every replacement order.
3. Orientation called out
Obscure pattern facing in or out? Low-E on face 3? Stepped edge which way? A one-line note per unit beats a phone call per unit.
4. Batch thinking
Six units on one order ride one delivery run and one production batch. Six single-unit orders across a fortnight are six chances for delay. Survey the whole job, order once.
5. The calculator first
The quote calculator prices any build-up instantly and turns straight into an order — no waiting for a quote to come back by email. Spec questions? The technical resources answer most of them on the spot.
