Introduction

Keeping your blinds clean is important for maintaining a clean and healthy home. However, cleaning blinds can be a time-consuming task. In this article, we will explore the fastest way to clean a set of blinds, saving you time and ultimately more money.

Method

1. Start by closing the blinds and dusting them with a microfiber cloth. This will remove any loose dust and debris.

2. Next, fill a bucket with warm water and add a small amount of gentle dish soap.

3. Dip a soft sponge or cloth into the soapy water and gently wipe down each slat of the blinds, starting from the top and working your way down.

4. For stubborn dirt or stains, lightly scrub the affected area with a soft-bristled brush.

5. Rinse the sponge or cloth regularly in clean water to prevent spreading dirt.

6. After washing each slat, use a clean cloth or sponge to rinse off any soap residue.

7. Finally, leave the blinds fully open to air dry.

I'm confused, did this guy just show people how to take a rag and wipe the dust off some blinds? Do they know you can use this same wiping method to clean their kitchen counter, wash their car, and their bodies? How did they clean all these things before?
In the comments everyone is writing about how helpful this video was. I doubt if everyone is being sarcastic.

  23. Darn it! My blinds seem to be exactly the same as yours, except for in one room they go almost from the ceiling to the floor. Lots of slats! I clean them the exact same way. When I went looking, I was hoping to get an easier way to do the backside, but I guess there is no easier way.

I’m a professional cleaner, this is how I clean blinds too. I’ll use different products depending on the material and condition. It’s kind of a pain in the ass to get the middle when the blinds are super wide, especially when they are those cheap metal mini blinds.

  29. hotram1 11 months ago

I have to clean the exact same blinds, and it has been so time consuming. I'm going to use your cleaning method in the future. Thanks.

  30. OMG!! I do my blinds the SAME way you do but I ALWAYS had that little strip of dust to get and I would end up going back over EACH INDIVIDUAL BLIND to get that daggom strip!!! What a BRILLIANT idea to flip the blinds AROUND!! ahhahaa THANK YOU!
