Not sure what I did wrong, but I needed an extra 2×4 and didn't have any leftover from the OSB sheet… I only used 3 braces per shelf.

With the price of lumber and screws it is cheaper just to buy a metal shelf. Probably all part of the plan by the man to move us away from being productive.

    Hi Brad,
Thank you so much for the video! You always have fun and easy to follow content for us beginners.

I followed the instructions exactly and was able to build 8'x6' sheves. The shelves themselves turned out really sturdy, however, when I stacked them up using the spacers and the 2x4s… then there was some wobble side to side and some rocking front to back while standing free. Is this normal? I made sure all the screws were tight.

Then I screwed them to wall studs and now it's all firm and rigid. It got much needed structural strength.

I can’t believe there’s ppl out there who can’t build simple shelves. The world has def changed. But it is a great video nonetheless. I guess I’m just old when we did stuff like this as if it was no big deal.

Prevent kick-back tip: clamp the two boards together on both sides of your cut. If you review your recording, you can see the second board flair away from the the first on your right, pinching the saw. A clamp on that right side would have prevented that.

it kicked back because you were holding the short end.
