  14. @lbluebird342 1 year ago

You can still buy antique BLUE Mason & Ball jars. Some are with & without lids. I have several of both & use one small Ball jar (pint size w/glass lid) for my teabags. They are so worth the $$ u pay. Sometime u can find cheaper ones in small towns, rural country areas. Good Luck shopping. The idea you have is still a good using glue & paint to color them. Thanks for sharing!

I have a question: Once Elmer's Clear Glue dries completely is it still tacky or is the surface like glass? I ask because I'd love to do this craft but I'm concerned that once dust starts to collect in it, it'll adhere to the top of the glue and become nasty looking.

How long until it dries?! I did this but it’s not hardened and it’s been over a week!

Glue shrinks when it dries, so that "water" wouldn't continue to look like that.

I found that over time (a matter of weeks) the glue shrunk away, disappeared within the arrangement. I loved the idea but sadly, it did not work for me.

This so did not work for me at all!!! I tried using this instead of Quick Water for a flower arrangement and I'm still waiting for the Elmer's Glue to totally harden, and it's been over 2 weeks now. I followed the instructions given and this did not work for me. I will not do this again. : – ((
