I had rain gutters installed with a new roof but tore them all off because they caused giant icicles and water dams in the winter.

Ok, so now that 18” deep crushed stone base will act as a dry well and fill with water. The water will then seep into the stone foundation. But at least the new steps won’t settle.

Some prefabricated steps not hold up to cold climates especially hollow prefabs

I have a walkway that a concrete slab is coming out of its foundation all due to the huge maple tree roots. I'm very concerned that whoever walks on it and doesn't see it may fall. Put it this way…I had to place a bench over it during Halloween this yr as the kids in the neighborhood were trick or treating. I've called many concrete companies and the answer was basically the same…many don't do small jobs like what we need to have done. Or the other issue is the company's schedule is booked up to the spring. Please help with some advice.

I've been asking no answer how do you build steps with a 2-in lift don't steps look so good with that two inch hangover if somebody get a chance tell me where I can go to get the information

The step up into the house from the platform would seem like a potential code violation.
Seemed like a good time to add a third step and establish a smooth transition into the house.
