Anther is bilobed and i anther have four layer and each lobe contain two microspongium each microspongium contain sporogenous tissue and this tissue is made up of micro spore mother cell (MMC) this cell divide meotically and formed microspore tetrad each microspore evolved into pollen grain each pollen grain have two cell vegetative cell and generative cell. Vegetative cell provide nutrients to generative cell and generative cell divide mitotically and formed two male gamete and large amount of pollen grain called pollen sacs.

Now hold on a minute, everything I’ve learnt up until this point says the “compartments” are the pollen sacs and the “pollen sacs” are pollen grains… aaaand now I’m confused. If anyone needs me I’ll be in the rabbit hole 😵‍💫
