I thought concrete counter tops would be more cost effective. Nope, just looked at their website. Im going to go with a nice piece of granite and have it installed by professionals for the same price (if not cheaper).

Looking to doing an exterior BBQ/kitchen area. I will definitely be watching a few more of your videos and using this system. Much easier than anything I've seen

I was just curious it looks like there was a new sink at the end, I'm guessing if it was a drop in sink you would have to put the sink in first? And than pour the countertop?

Can you add paint to it?

Does the quality of the wood the cabinets are made of matter when doing cement counter tops?

Can also get rid of that ridiculously exaggerated shelf on the wall. Extreme over-kill on that shelf and is way out of the ratio to proportion for the other things in the kitchen … that shelf could hold up an engine block lol

Is the 1/2" hardy board the same as 1/2" sheetrock?

Awesome info in this video. Was hoping this would be a good way for us to install countertops for the outdoor kitchens we build, rather than hiring out to a granite installer. And while this video was super informative, I think there are so many steps that the labor it would eat up with our workers, to do all of this, would actually end up costing more than what we pay to have the granite installed.

i like the look of this a lot but will the edges be durable?

  15. @jimjones6960 10 months ago

How do you keep the edges from chipping?

  16. @Chimel31 10 months ago

If these forms exist with round edges, that would be perfect: Straight angles are way too prone to chipping when hurt by a l=metallic pan.
I have seen people adding a bit of white cement and mixing it very roughly: When poured, it looks like marble veins.
There are also coloring and powdered rock additives you can add for a more natural stone look of a specific kind.
A fossil velociraptor inclusion on the kitchen bench would be awesome!

A video that I think is about concrete, but I was distracted by an insanely hot guy with a beard and perfectly fitted jeans.. I’ll probably have to watch it again to see what’s going on with the concrete.. lol

  20. @ericjohnson8586 10 months ago

Or mix up a few buckets at once lol

  21. @pogojp 10 months ago

Waited to see the end result, was very disappointed. You can polish concrete and make it look like marble. This is ugly and a cheap piece of countertop from Home Depot would look better. Why spend so much money on all those materials when you could just replace the tops with something that actually had a nice finish. The finish I saw was very… concrete looking. I know it's concrete but isn't the point to make it look better?

    Drunken concrete HACKS. You suck.

  23. @d.4227 10 months ago

  26. @Edmart67 10 months ago

Loved your video. Definitely going to do this. A good solution I learned is using an oscillating tool with a sanding pad as a vibrator to eliminate air bubbles. Hope this helps.
