Design of Structural Glass Systems in RFEM (USA)
Structural glass systems are becoming increasingly popular in construction, offering sleek and modern designs. However, the design and analysis of these systems can be complex. In RFEM, a powerful software tool, engineers can efficiently design and analyze structural glass systems according to the specific requirements and regulations in the USA.
RFEM offers various features for the design of glass elements, including non-linear material behavior, support conditions, and load applications. The software also allows for the visualization of stress and deformation in the glass elements, providing valuable insights for the design process.
With the use of RFEM, engineers can ensure the safety and reliability of structural glass systems while meeting the necessary design codes and standards in the USA.
Conclusion
The design of structural glass systems in the USA can be effectively accomplished using RFEM. The software’s advanced features and capabilities enable engineers to design and analyze glass elements while ensuring compliance with local regulations and codes.
FAQs
Can RFEM be used for the design of structural glass systems in other countries?

I am trying to make a circular opening by drawing a circular line and the line is being drawing in XY plane though i want it in XZ plane any solutions
I have some questions :
1- WHEN I INPUT ATOMSRHRIC PRESSURE IN MANUFACTURING AND MOUT RF GLASS CALCULATE EACH SEPERATLY ALSO IT TAKE PRESSURE OF GAS INTO CONSIDERATION OR NOT ?
2-load percentage of temperature and atmospheric pressure why you divide into 50 % also it difference of thickness like 6+1.52+6 mm external and 6 mm internal ratio remain the same (50 % ) or be different ?
Atmospheric pressure from source I can get it ?
also temperature of gas program calculate automatically or not ?
Hi, I have got a question; Is it also possible to analyse stresses in both glass and an aluminium frame at the same time? The case that I am trying to analyse, is where the deformation of the aluminium causes stresses in the glass. So, I would like to get results from both the aluminium as the glass. I did not find any tutorials showing this yet. Please let me know. Kind regards, Mats
Super. Was the interior aluminum orientation not important for this exercise
If I don’t make line release for glass surface do results be different
If there a guide for design please can you provide for me
Thanks a lot for this webinar
how can i install student version
Awesome!
Hi,
Could we do the analysis using other programs such as SAP or Robot Structure Design?
This is what I do need right now. I am in an initial feasibility stage for a steel and glass made structure design.
Could you add a video about how to design a laminated glass
Hello,
how can I put a gas into glass' layers?
How do i access this software
