Coyote Hunting 101 – Tips, Tactics, and a Double Down Coyote Hunt
If you’re new to coyote hunting, here are some essential tips and tactics to help you succeed in the field. One important tip is to scout the area beforehand to find signs of coyote activity. Using calls and decoys can also attract coyotes to your location. Additionally, understanding the wind direction and setting up in a concealed position are crucial for a successful hunt.
For those looking for a more advanced challenge, consider participating in a double down coyote hunt. This involves calling in and taking down two coyotes at once, which requires exceptional shooting skills and quick decision-making. Working with a skilled hunting partner can increase your chances of success in a double down hunt.
Conclusion
Coyote hunting requires careful planning, patience, and skill. By following these tips and tactics, as well as considering a double down hunt for a greater challenge, hunters can increase their chances of a successful coyote hunting experience.

Trying to pull the trigger when the guns on safe is the worst feeling
Thanks for the tips! What bipod do you have?
Hunting does not reduce the population, so what’s the point.
Man what is that bipod
What do you do with the carcass of the coyotes you kill?
Does anyone know what rifle he’s using?
Can't believe I just stumbled onto your site 3 years later, but I'm glad I did. Thanks for the tips.
I'm so glad there are guys that can do this. I'd be frozen. When it's that cold out the only way I can keep warm is to be moving. I mean, 18 degrees and no gloves? I just cannot do that.
I know this is an old video, but I just found you and I subscribed. I'm in the southern tip of south central Indiana. I used to hunt them back in the 80's and 90's.. I'm 62 and retiring and hope to get after them again.. Great shooting. I used to use a Ruger Number 1 in 22.250, but then I had a farmer one day when I was using a Remington 700 varmint in .223 killing his groundhogs tell me he liked that rifle because it didn't make a lot of noise around his animals so I started using it almost exclusively.
Great shooting and good video..
Thanks so much..

I live in an urban area, (suburb), and I never heard of coyotes in 45 years. I started to hear rumors two years ago, they were out back in the quarry. I watched a ten minute youtube video of coyote sounds to know what they sound like. Last night a firetruck blaring sirens went up the road back there, and it was a frenzy yelping and howling, sounded like twenty, or more, coyotes. Now, I gotta figure out what to do about it, because the couch potatoes in this neighborhood, will just let it fester. I'll be using my .50 cal air rifle, at night, looks like.
Do you eat them? Just curious.
How do I get into touch with this guy?
Great video!
What is the bipod u r using in this video
By shooting the coyotes you are really creating a bigger problem for yourself, The farmers & Ranchers. Not only are you allow their game species to grow. You are creating a more abundant food source that increases their nutrition's they need to increase egg production. when you kill a coyote you are creating more habitat for other to move in. also when coyote population start going down the young will mature faster and they will breed more having larger litters. another simply solution would be to install Solar night guard lights 22 to 30 inches off the ground. this will keep coyotes away. plus it will help keep other predator away like bear, wolf, bobcat, fox and mountain lions just to name a few. you are also creating another problem because Coyotes actually help crop farmers. They keep the population of animals that eat plants under control. 400,000 coyotes are shot each year in North America and because of that since the 1950's they coyote population has increased by 40%. you are pouring gasoline on the fire.

Trying to get an idea how to approach my first coyote hunt in the desert. Thanks for the tips!
I saw a coyote while turkey hunting the other day. Had #6 shot so I didn't know if that'd be powerful enough to down it. Had my 9mm for backup but when it realized I was there it started backing away slowly. I snapped a couple pics of it then it turned around and went the other way. Figured I might as well add that to the list of creatures I'll hunt so time to learn about them.

Its a vicarious vengeance thing for me to watch you kill coyotes. One came over my fence to kill a cat in my yard this morning and I wish I had my rifle. I despise coyotes. They're a real danger and a nuisance animal.
