    Some of these technologies have been around for centuries. Like the cofferdam, the setting of the jacket legs for platforms is something to see in real life, as big as they are they float and are controlled flooded to get them into a vertical position. They are then secured to the seafloor with pilings with the jacket in a north/south, east/west position.
