Is the motor hardwired ? And how would you go about having to do a repair without tearing it apart ? And i gotta say its very nicely done, except using the mud instead of filler between the wood and wall joints

This inspired me to do something similar for my balcony door. Does the wood wear out the fabric? What is the about size of the groove that works well (deepness and thickness)? Thank you.

As you had room outside the window recess, it would have been a lot easier to install the blind outside the recess to also achieve blocking out light.

I am such a light sleeper that if any light comes through, I am likely not getting any more sleep. It doesnt even have to be sunlight, the street lights are enough to keep me awake. I have blackout blinds with thick velvet curtains also lined with blackout material….so I feel this person's pain, and it seems to have solved her problem.

Your home is your castle, make it exactly how you want it and do what makes you happy!!! 🤠
