Are you tired of people looking into your bathroom window? Do you need some privacy without sacrificing natural light? Look no further! In this walkthrough, we will show you how to achieve a privacy window for just $7 using Rustoleum Frosted Glass. Let’s get started!
Materials Needed:
- Rustoleum Frosted Glass spray
- Masking tape
- Newspaper or old sheets
- Scissors
- Window cleaner
- Cloth or paper towel
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Clean the window thoroughly using window cleaner and a cloth or paper towel. This will remove any dirt or dust that may interfere with the application process.
- Cut the masking tape into strips and use them to outline the area of the window you want to frost. Make sure the edges are straight and secure the tape firmly.
- Protect the surrounding area by covering it with newspaper or old sheets. This will prevent any overspray from staining other surfaces.
- Shake the Rustoleum Frosted Glass spray can well and apply an even coat to the window. Start from the top and work your way down, maintaining a distance of about 12 inches from the glass.
- Allow the first coat to dry for about 5 minutes. Apply a second coat to ensure complete coverage. Remember to maintain the same distance from the glass and apply even strokes.
- Let the second coat dry for approximately 30 minutes. Remove the masking tape carefully while the paint is still tacky to avoid peeling off the paint.
- Allow the paint to cure for at least 24 hours before touching or cleaning the window. This will ensure a long-lasting and durable finish.
Conclusion:
Rustoleum Frosted Glass spray is a cost-effective solution for creating privacy in your bathroom without compromising natural light. By following this walkthrough, you can achieve a professional-looking privacy window for just $7. Enjoy your newly transformed bathroom!

What's the point of a bathroom window if people can't look through it.
I like it. U can also use the plastic fake stained glass stuff. Goes on like window tint
Why did you filmed or took a photo at night when you showed the product??? Skechy af
Did you say half bath….
I need that stuff. To cover windows for dogs to not see out. 👏
What about the over spray that would get on the trim?
im still not shittin in there unless u put a blind or curtain up.
I did my windows with etched vinyl and it looks so good, I found it on Amazon, it will cost more than this but I love the way it looks
It’d be so much better to get the one way privacy film. You would have to cut it to size for every one of those tiny window squares and a little bit pricier but it would make it so much nicer
Looks good! 👍
I’m 62 and we did this at Christmas nothing new
damn it actually looktid good
Looks great…❤
Use a stencil for a design. I have it for 7+ years with lightly cleaning.
Good luck, I agree to no curtain or blind. I have tried both, whatever pleases you!😎
You can go to an aquarium supply shop and get a product which is normally used on fish tanks…one coat, and it looks a lot better, comes in various colors, and is easily removed if you want to change the look.
